The Stylus Brush. The little one, for the little needle.
The stylus does the actual reading, tracing the groove a thousand times a side, and it picks up fluff while it works. Left alone it dulls the sound and wears faster. A gentle sweep, always back to front, never the other way, and it’s clean again.
This is the most overlooked tool in the whole setup and one of the most useful. A dollar of dust on a needle that cost real money. Sort it in five seconds and the records sound like they should.
