The fine print

SlipDaddys is still getting set up, so treat this as a working version. We'll have the final policy, with every detail confirmed, up before we take a single order.

The short version

We collect the bits we need to take your order, post it to you, and stay in touch if you've asked us to. We don't sell your information to anyone. We keep it about as carefully as you'd hope. That's the gist. The detail's below.

What we collect

When you buy something or get in touch, we collect what we need to do the job:

Your name, email, phone and delivery address, so we can take and send your order.
Order details, so we know what to make and post.
Your email, if you sign up for the Sunday letter.
If you send a photo for the wall of legends: the photo, the name you'd like credited, an optional caption, and your email if you give one. Photos are held privately and reviewed by a human before anything goes up. You're telling us you've got the right to share it, and you can ask us to take it down any time.
A trade enquiry (if you run a shop): your shop, name, email and message, so we can write back.
Basic website usage data (via cookies and analytics), so we can keep the site quick.

We do not store your full card details. Payments are handled by Stripe, our payment processor, and your card information goes straight to them.

How we use it

To process, make and ship your order.
To send order confirmations and updates.
To reply when you contact us.
To send the occasional email, but only if you've signed up. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
To understand how the site's used and make it better.

We won't email you marketing you didn't ask for, and we'll never sell or rent your details to anyone.

Who we share it with

Only the people who help us run the shop, and only what they need:

Stripe, for payments.
Cloudflare, who host the site, keep it quick, run the bot check on our forms, and store the bits you submit (list signups, enquiries and photos) on our behalf.
Our shipping carrier, for delivery.
Our email provider, for order and list emails.

Some of these may store data outside Australia.

Cookies & local storage

We use cookies and your browser's local storage to keep your cart working and remember small preferences, like whether you've got whiskey mode on. You can turn these off in your browser, but the cart and a few things may not behave.

Looking after it

We take reasonable steps to keep your information secure. No system is perfect, but we don't keep more than we need, and we don't hang onto it longer than we have to.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we're able. Just email us and we'll sort it. If you've got a privacy concern you don't think we've handled well, you can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page. The date below tells you when we last did. The shop's terms of service live over here, if you're on a policy-reading roll.
