Terms of service

The fine print

SlipDaddys is still getting set up, so treat this as a working version. The final terms will be confirmed here before we take a single order.

The short version

You buy something, we make it and post it, and we both act like reasonable people. That covers most of it. The rest is below, written so you can actually read it.

Who we are

SlipDaddys sells felt record slipmats, 3D-printed dad spinners, and a small pile of merch and accessories, made in Australia and posted from Australia. These terms apply whenever you use this site or buy from us. If you place an order, you're agreeing to them.

Orders

  • An order is an offer to buy. It's locked in when we send you an order confirmation. In the rare case we can't fill it (a listing error, stock we thought we had), we'll tell you quick and refund you in full.
  • Spinners are printed to order, so production time gets added before postage. The window shown at checkout is the honest one.
  • We can decline or cancel an order that looks fraudulent. Sorry, had to say it.

Prices & payment

  • Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST where it applies.
  • Shipping is worked out at checkout, before you pay. No surprises.
  • Payment is handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details. If a price on the site is plainly wrong (a $3.50 slipmat, say), we can cancel and refund rather than honour the typo, and we'll be nice about it.
  • Prices can change over time, but never on an order you've already placed.

Shipping, returns & your rights

The detail lives on the shipping & returns page, which is part of these terms. The bit that matters most: our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If something arrives faulty, damaged or wrong, we'll repair, replace or refund it. Nothing in these terms takes those rights away.

The products

  • Every mat is cut and every spinner is printed by us, in small runs. Slight variation between pieces is part of the deal, that's the handmade bit, not a fault.
  • Colours on your screen and colours in your hands can differ a touch. The felt is the felt.
  • Spinners are display pieces for records and shelves, not toys. Small parts, so keep them away from little kids and enthusiastic dogs.

Sending us a photo

If you send a photo for the wall of legends, you're telling us a few things: that it's yours to share (you took it or you've got the OK), that anyone in it is fine with it going up, and that you're happy for us to show it on the site and our socials with the credit you gave. You keep ownership of your photo. You're just giving us permission to display it. We review every submission before it goes anywhere, we can pass on any photo for any reason, and you can ask us to take yours down at any time and we will.

Using the site

Have a wander, no rush. Just don't do anything unlawful with the site, don't try to break it, and don't scrape or copy the content wholesale. The words, images, character designs and the Daddys themselves (Chinese Unc, Viet Dad, Golf Dad, BBQ Dad and friends) belong to SlipDaddys. Sharing a link or a photo of your own setup is not just fine, it's encouraged.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss from using the site or the products. Where liability can't be excluded (hello again, Australian Consumer Law), it's limited to replacing the goods or refunding what you paid. Nothing in these terms limits rights the law says you keep.

Changes

We may update these terms as the shop grows. The version on this page is the current one, and the date below tells you when it last moved. Orders are governed by the terms as they stood when you placed them.

The legals

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. If one part of them turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.
