This is the BBQ Dad spinner. Little fella in an apron, tongs in hand, ready to flip nothing in particular for hours.
We printed him to feel right in the hand. There’s a bit of weight to the base, the kind you notice when you give him a flick and he just keeps going, slow and steady, like a bloke who’s already had two snags and is in no hurry for a third. The grooves on the apron catch the light a bit. You’ll find yourself running a thumb over them without thinking about it.
He’s not going to change your life. He’s going to sit on the bench, spin when you spin him, and look quietly pleased about it. Same as the real thing.
Low and slow, same as the brisket. You don’t rush a good cook and you don’t rush a good record.
The details
- 3D-printed with a weighted base for a slow, steady spin.
- Spins on the platter, or stands by the grill where he belongs.
- Made to order. A few days on the printer, then he’s on his way.
Stand him next to the grill where he belongs. Mats off to the cook.
